D is for Dancing

This post is from last weeks class.  We only had 4 preschoolers here because of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  We missed everyone, BUT ... we still had a lot of fun.

We learned all about the letter "D."  We went on a little Show-&-Tell hunt in the toy box to try and find items that started with the letter D.

Here are some things that we found:
A Doll, Donkey, Deer and Dinosaur!

We also went on a Letter D Hunt in this story about 2 dinosaurs.  Preschoolers were able to find and circle all Uppercase and Lowercase D's.

As part of our Thanksgiving celebration we played a PIE color matching game.

We also played a sorting game where preschoolers lined up our Turkeys from smallest to largest.  We did it both vertically and horizontally.

We made a Turkey puppet and practiced our poem:
The Turkey is a silly bird
His head goes wobble, wobble.
He only knows just one word
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!

To finish off the day we made Indian hats, read a story about the first Thanksgiving and had our very on Turkey Trot around the yard.  The preschoolers loved running around and getting out all of their energy!

Thanks for a fun week.  I hope you all had a GREAT Thanksgiving!
